“The Classified Motorcycle Co.” Kit ‘84 Harley-Davidson Ironhead Sportster

1984 Sportster with Kit pieces added to give the American-a British Bike look- resembling the famous Vincent’s that only those with deep pockets can own.
Not much can be found on the web regarding these, but the kit was produced circa 1993 by Dan Wilson of Carmel Valley, California. It is believed that only 25 of these $2995 kits were produced.
Kit components are: Alloy fuel tank, Vincent style seat, two into one, right side exhaust, with British style-long tip muffler, steel tube fender stays, tube/flatstock rear parcel rack with integral taillamp housing (Lucas #525 stye tailamp), stainless steel fenders, and a headlamp change. This unit’s headlamp is Lucas 7 inch with Ammeter, (the kit contained a 7″ Lucas style with Black nacelle). Spoked wheels and hubs, plus rubber “gaiters”.for the front forks.
There are, as of now, some 3 of these produced kits, web searchable-thisone, and one from “The Kneeslider” article by Paul Crowe, (kit # 22) and an eBay posting from the UK, of a complete, uninstalled original kit ( # 15).
This bike’s kit number. is unknown.
