DN-01 Engine Break-in Ride
<< MRP now offers parts for UTVS Bridgestone Battlax BT56 OEM Replacement Tires - Honda CBR600F3 >>
2009 Honda DN-01 first 100 miles gentle ride up Catalina Highway to first scenic overlook 4-1-09 in Tucson, Arizona USA.
The DN-01 is not a scooter in any way. It uses full-size motorcycle wheels and suspension. Also its technologically advanced transmission doesn’t have a drive belt or centrifugal clutch. The (HFT) hydraulic transmission has automotive-similar functionality like sensor-to-control-module clutch engagement plus a “lock-up” feature that directly couples the drive train at cruise speeds for more power and best economy.
P.S. This was my first video edit to YouTube using Adobe Premier (OEM). Various export passes were used to find quality with size reduction but apparently the Preference for recompressing the original may have been set. This meant that the original file was recompressed with different settings about 10-15 times before this final version was uploaded. The result of this is noticeable as hesitations or freeze-frame moments during the entire playback. The music keeps running on time but the video changes speed, hesitates then catches up. If the original file hadn’t been botched I would have done it all over but for presentability it’s kept this way. Enjoy.
