Will a complete fairings kit change the entire color of a motorcycle, or do you need to paint the gas tank?

Never seen a fairing that magically changed the paint color on the gas tank.

That would depend on if your farings go over your tank. ie ; if your tank sticks out from the bike with nothing covering it it will probably need painted
